Versa Vascular's innovative valve repair implant allows physicians to treat a broader patient demographic with tricuspid heart disease. Versa reached out to Herbst Produkt at a critical point in their R&D process as they were pivoting to a streamlined internal mechanism. Using a combination of 7 knobs and dials, the physician is able to precisely navigate the implant to its final destination in the heart. Industrial Design worked closely with engineering efforts to prioritize usability and ergonomics while arranging components. The result is an efficient delivery system handle featuring a "dashboard" of primary control knobs and status indicators.

Using simple surfacing and color heirarchy, Herbst divided the 7 adjustment control knobs into zones that help guide the user through the steps of the surgery.
A "dashboard" style front face directs physicians to pay attention to the most mission critical status indicators, which are color coded to their corresponding knobs.
The last step is also the most important: irreversibly releasing the implant into the patient's heart. These expansion and release knobs feature Versa's brand colors to celebrate the hero moment.
